摘要 In the case of motor vehicle gear mechanisms, the power flow takes place by means of at least three gear engagements (gear-shift mechanism, change-speed gear mechanism, differential gear mechanism). Only in the case of a passenger car does the power transmission in the highest gear take place directly from the engine shaft to the ring gear in the driving axle. Since, according to the invention, one or more ring gears are likewise used for speed variation, the shift-gear mechanism or change-speed gear mechanism are unnecessary. Because an overdimensioned ring gear does not impair the ground clearance in the case of tracked vehicles, here the entire gear-shift and change-speed gear mechanism can be replaced by a variable ring-gear mechanism. The variable ring-gear mechanism is suitable not only for motor vehicle gearboxes, but also for any drive technology where the direction of power has to be developed (for example power take-off machines). It is not only important to design engines with high efficiency but also to transfer the power with the least possible losses. The variable ring-gear mechanism is one of the inventions which saves considerable energy with little expenditure. The higher the efficiency, the less the environmental pollution.
