PURPOSE:To obtain a large signal output even on the same area by surrounding the gate area of an electrostatic induction transistor at equal intervals by a main electrode area on the same surface side together with the 2nd gate area outside of said gate area. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device consists of the electrostatic induction TR which has an electrode area (drain) 3 and gates 4 and 5 facing each other via a channel area formed of high-resistance semiconductors. Then, a drain 3 and a gate 4, and a drain 3 and a gate 5 are arranged at equal intervals where one picture element divided by a shielding gate 5 is constituted, and the gate 4 is surrounded with the drain 3 and gate 5. |
