Method and device for recording alarm strike signals in winding engines in underground excavations

A magnetic recording device (1) with at least two tracks is used to record the alarm strike signals. The audible alarm strike signals are picked up by means of a microphone (21) disposed near the alarm and are recorded on a first track. A clock-time speech amplifier (22) is simultaneously activated whose time announcement indicating the respective clock time is recorded on the second track, so that the alarm strike signals are recorded at the correct audible level and are allocated to the clock time. The trailing signal edges of each alarm strike are suppressed by means of a reverberation suppressor (11) in order to prevent reverberation which would adversely affect the reproduction of the alarm strike. A special endless tape cassette (50) which is provided with an ancillary winding disk (56) coupled with the device's own winding disk in order to support the normal capstan drive (52, 53), serves as the sound medium. <IMAGE>
