<p>Immobilized particulate absorbent is prepared from a waterinsoluble, water-swelling absorbent polymer(A) and a liquid polyhydroxy organic compd.(B). (A) has a gel capacity of more than 10 and is selected from a polysaccharide transformed from polyacrylate, cross-linked synthetic polyacrylate, cross-linked carboxymethyl cellulose, cross- linked polyalkylene oxides or rubber. (B) has a vicinal hydroxyl gp. and is selected from glycerol, ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. The composition of (A) and (B) is 25-125 and 100 by parts, respectively.</p> |
