PURPOSE:To take only water of upper layer by a method in which a rotary connecting tube is connected to the central part of the first conduit rotatably connected to both sides of a water intake device supported near an intake port on a float, and the second conduit with an intake port is rotatably connected to both sides of the basal end of said rotary connecting tube. CONSTITUTION:A downwardly expanded intake tube 10 is connected to a short tube 8 having flanges 7 on its both ends and a flange 9 with an inlet port 11 is provided to the lower end to make up a water intake body 1 which is supported on a float 1. A semi-circular bent tube 18 is connected to both ends of the short tube 17 through flanges 19 and 20 to make up the first and second conduits 2 and 4. An O-ring-holding inner cylinder 24 on both ends of the tube 2 is fitted into an O-ring holding outer cylinder 25 on both ends of the intake body 1, and the other end of the rotary connecting tube 3 whose one end is connected to the tube 17 of the tube 2 in a turnable manner is rotatably connected to the tube 4. An outlet tube 37 is connected to the central part of the tube 4. The incoming of floating substances can thus be prevented because the attitude of the intake body 1 is not varied even when the tube 3 is turned. |
