PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of reduction in a pressure variation in time of increase or decrease in pump units available, by adopting a microcomputer into a device and thereby performing its digital control. CONSTITUTION:The desired pressure prestored in a microcomputer mucon is compared with the measured pressure inside a feed water pipe 9, while an operating speed in a variable speed pump is altered so as to cause the measured pressure to accord with the desired pressure and thereby increase or decrease in plural units of constant-speed pumps takes pace. Simultaneously with this adjustment, a signal out of a pressure sensor 10 is inputted into the microcomputer mucon, performing an operation process by the program required and sending a speed change command to a variable-speed controller INV. And, a digital signal being outputted from an I/O port OutA of the microcomputer mucon is converted into an analog signal with a D/A converter F2 and outputted to the controller INV. The increase or decrease of pumps is accurately carried out with a pump increase or decrease command device CTL by the variable-speed pump operated by output from the I/O port OutB and an interface G between solenoid contactors M1 and M2 of plural units of pumps.
