The invention relates to an electromechanical coincidence position transmitter for two machine parts which can move relative to one another, having an axially movable pair of contact members which are electrically insulated from one another and in each case are connected separately to lines leading outwards. In order to simplify the production of the coincidence position transmitter, two separate guide bores are provided in the transmitter housing for the purpose of slidingly accommodating in each case one contact member. In the region of the inner end, the contact members are connected to one another in a self-closed and rigid fashion by a transverse pin made from electrically non-conductive material. The transverse pin simultaneously serves as a stroke-limiting stop for the pair of contact members. The inclined contact surfaces can be formed economically by means of an eccentrically turned conical surface on the contact members. Spring-loaded contact pins in the interior of the coincidence position transmitter provide not only for pressing on the contact members, but also for an operationally reliable and free-moving connection by line between the contact members, on the one hand, and the fixed part of the leads on the other hand. The spring-loaded contact pins and the cable accommodating the leads can be solidly injected into a cable terminal part; the latter can be plugged at the rear into the transmitter housing which terminates in a tubular fashion.
