The subject matter of the invention is an extending table in which the table framework has a mounting frame with guide strips in which two plate halves forming the table plate are displaceable, in which arrangement the two plate halves can be guided towards one another or pushed apart by means of a horizontally disposed triple articulated lever, the centre fulcrum of which is secured to the table framework, an insert plate 2 being provided below the two table-plate halves 1, 1', which insert plate 2 rests on four eccentric discs 3, 3' which are fastened in pairs to pivot axes 4, 4'. Furthermore, each two eccentric discs 3, 3' arranged one behind the other are coupled by means of one connecting rod 8 each, while one control rod 5 each, pivotable at the fulcrums 7, is arranged below the table-plate halves 1, 1'. A guide slot 11 for receiving a pin 6 fastened to the eccentric discs 3 is sunk into the control rod 5, and this slot 11 has at the free end of the control rod 5 a driving radius 9 of a guide directed up at an angle and a further driving radius 10 for receiving the pin 6. <IMAGE>
