A storage or transportation container is proposed for electrically operated domestic apparatuses or for electric tools, in which solar cells are arranged on at least one outer wall. The energy store of an apparatus which is inserted in the container can be connected to the solar cells, as a result of which the energy produced by the solar cells under the influence of light can be used to recharge the energy store of the apparatus. <IMAGE>
