摘要 PURPOSE:To control fuel injection amount and injection timing with high accuracy over the whole range of operation condition by installing an opening and closing means in an overflow passage which communicates to the fuel pressurizing chamber of a fuel injection pump and installing a means for operating the starting timing for fuel pressurizing process. CONSTITUTION:A distribution-type injection pump B pressurizes the fuel inhaled into a pump chamber 12 from a suction port 11 by a plunger 10 which revolves and moves in reciprocation and sends said fuel under pressure into an injection nozzle N through a suction-return valve 14 from the distributing port 13 to each cylinder. A solenoid valve 16 as opening and closing means is arranged at one edge of an overflow port 15 which always communicates to the pressure of the pump chamber 12. Said solenoid valve 16 carries-out control according to the conduction time width (fundamental injection amount pulse width) calculated in a control circuit C, on the basis of each output of a revolution-number sensor 1a, an acceleration sensor 1b, etc. The timing of starting the fuel pressurizing process is controlled according to the revolution of a roller ring 9 installed onto a timer controlled according to the opening and closing of a solenoid valve 23.
