A feeding bottle (1) for a baby has an aperture formed in an upper position of a side wall thereof and in the aperture is provided a soft rubber dome (6) having a fine slit (3) formed in the dome (6). A rigid insert (8) maintains the dome (6) in substantially fluid tight engagement with the bottle wall and also carries a filter (7). When the baby drinks from the bottle, external air pressure opens the slit (3) so that air passes into the bottle through the filter (7). In another embodiment the dome and filter are located at the bottom of the bottle for use when the bottle is held in an inverted position. <IMAGE> |
