The invention relates to a method and a device for multi-product sifting, in particular of cement, in a circulating-air sifter with an externally situated fan, in which the material to be sifted is fed from above to a central, round sifting space and is there distributed in the form of a veil, a sifting-air flow rising from below through the material veil dividing the material to be sifted into a coarser and a finer fraction, and is characterised in that the rising sifting-air flow is divided into a number of, at least two, part flows of different size and flow speed, the division taking place by diverting the part of the sifting-air flow rising against the wall of the round sifting space and a renewed spreading in the form of a veil of the remaining material taking place in the remaining sifting-air space.
