PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency, by enabling a feed motor, for use of cutting off a pipe, to be used also for its threading work so as to enable the pipe to be both cut off and threaded by a single device. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 14 is rotated and driven by a motor consisting of a series-wound commutator motor. A rotary edge 26 revolving on its own axis and a cutting motor 28, which drives this rotary edge 26 at a high speed through gears, are provided in a cutter 20. The motor 28 is a series-wound commutator motor. When a pipe 34 is threaded after it is cut off, the pipe 34 is turned at a low speed and threaded by pressing a die 22 to an end part of the pipe and driving said feed motor not shown in the drawing. |
