PURPOSE:To efficiently cut off a pipe even if hardness of its material changes without causing damage of a rotary tooth edge, by detecting the load of a cutting motor from its electric current so as to adjust the speed of a feed motor in accordance with a change of the load. CONSTITUTION:A motor, consisting of a series-wound commutator motor, and a reduction gear (both motor and gear not shown in the drawing) are housed in a base bed 10, rotating a chuck 14 to be driven. A cutter 20, die 22 and a burr remover 24 are mounted to a sliding bed 18. A rotary edge 26, which revolves on its own axis, and a series-wound commutator motor 28 driving this rotary edge are provided in the cutter 20. When a pipe is made of hard material, the rotary edge is controlled in a good revolution, simultaneously a feed of the pipe is also controlled at a low speed. |
