PURPOSE:To confirm a shift of the position of an original by installing a screen adjacently to a platen, and providing an optical system for the original confirmation which projects the image of an original on the platen upon the screen. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine body 1 is provided with the platen 2 and screen 3 adjacently, and the optical system 14 for the original confirmation consists of illumination lamps 151 and 152, mirrors 161 and 162, and a lens 17 to project an image of an original A upon the screen 3. The original A is set on the platen 2 and the illumination lamps 151 and 152 of the optical system 14 for the original confirmation are turned on; reflected light from the original surface A' is passed through the mirror 161, lens 17, and mirror 162 and reflected on the screen, thus projecting the image of the original. Consequently, the position of the original set on the platen 2 is confirmed. |
