PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a false signal due to a fine discharge by arranging an aluminum metal lining on the circumference of a part subject to a high voltage applied to maintain it the same as the high voltage applied. CONSTITUTION:Mott.Detector body is housed in an electrically insulating container 15. An aluminum metal lining 16 is provided at a part surrounding a part subject to a high voltage applied above the upper end of an accelerator inside the container 15 and electrically connected to the high voltage part. Then, in the application of a high voltage of +120kW to the high-voltage-applied part of the Mott.Detector, a high voltage cable 17 employing a high voltage electricity transmission wire 18 having an electric resistance of about 1MOMEGA/m is used to apply a high voltage to an inner lining 16 through a bushing 19. This can prevent the generation of a false signal due to a fine discharge thereby enabling the use of the apparatus even under an adverse environment. |
