PURPOSE:To enable pallets to be transferred with high speed even over a long distance to minimize an idle time in transferring the pallets by transferring the pallets with a linear motor. CONSTITUTION:Linear motors LM0-LM4 are provided on a fixed frame 15 between a pair of upper guide rails 16 in respective stations 10-14 and changed over suitably to forward strong drive FH, forward weak drive FL and backward strong drive RH in response to the external input signal so that pallets 17 are advanced with high speed and low speed and braked. In the respective stations 10-14 are provided respectively a stopper cylinder 21 and a detent plate 22 for locating the pallets 17 at predetermined positions. The cylinder 21 has a piston rod 24 fitted therein to vertically reciprocate and abut against the front end of the pallet 17 for stopping it at the predetermined position. |
