Joint for fastening a metal body (3), for example the bottom part of a nuclear fuel assembly, to a wall section of a fuel channel consisting of zircaloy. Belonging to the joint is a horizontal bolt (4) which is screwed into the metallic body (3) and has a countersunk conical flat bolt head. The metallic body (3) is provided around the bolt (4) with a surface section which is milled down to form an annular gap (13) situated in a vertical plane. The entire joint between a fuel channel and the metallic body (3) consists of a number of the abovementioned individual joints. When the fuel assembly is heated, the gap (13) permits deformation of the wall of the fuel channel, as a result of which a reduction is achieved in the tensile force acting on the bolt. <IMAGE> |
