PURPOSE:To compensate voltage drop at the intermediate point between stations effectively by providing a feeder voltage compensator comprised of a thyristor switch circuit, battery and rectifier in D.C. power supply unit for compensating voltage drop of D. C. feeder system in electric railway. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of electric circuits where two thyristor switches 71, 72 and 73, 74 are connected in series are connected in parallel to form a thyristor switch circuit 7 while a battery 6 is connected between the thyristor switches 71, 72 in one circuit. Main power plant 1 comprised of a rectifier 11 and transformer 12 is connected through a rail 3 between the thyristor switches 73, 74 in the other circuit while the battery 6 is connected through a high speed circuit breaker 91 and a disconnecting switch 92 to a line 2. Then a thyristor circuit 7 is connected to a rectifier 8 comprised of thyristors 81-86, transformer 87 and A.C. circuit breaker 88 while receiving high voltage power of 6kV from incoming line 89 to constitute a feeder voltage compensator. |
