PURPOSE:To prevent wheels from slipping at the starting time of a railroad vehicle and prevent the wheels and rails from damage by detecting self-excited vibration which is generated at a driving equipment when the wheels slip and urging an adhesion increasing abrasive piece on the tread of the wheels based on the detected signal. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 6 is fixed to a truck frame 3 which supports a vehicle body 1 via a block spring 2, in the position opposed to the tread of a wheel 5. An adhesion increasing abrasive piece 16 is attached to the end of the cylinder 6. A truck frame 3 has a driving equipment 7 supported by a damping suspender 8, said equipment and said suspender being equipped with detectors 9 and 10. When the detectors 9 and 10 detect any self-excited vibration, compressed air is supplied into the cylinder 6 from an air source on the basis of the detected signals so as to make the adhesion increasing abrasive piece 16 on the tread of the wheel 5, whereby preventing the wheel 5 from slipping at the starting time of the vehicle. Because the wheel 5 may be prevented from slipping, generation of self-excited vibration may be prevented so that the life of the driving equipment 7 or other elements may be prolonged. |
