The media pipe (10) is a steel unit, and is surrounded by heat insulation (1) comprising polyurethane, and a cover pipe (12). In the insulation two copper alarm wires (13) are embedded in the foam, and run along the media pipe, being connected to each other at one end (14). At their other end, together with a conduit (15) connected to the media pipe (10), they are connected to a fixed alarm unit (16). The copper wires (13) and the conduit (15) are closed off by connecting units (17,18) which can be fitted along a remote heating conduit at any suitable point, and must pref. be placed on special plinths on top of the ground so that they are easily accessible. A suitable place for the connecting units can also be on the venting pipe from the chamber or in wells for tapping off water circulating in the remote heating conduits. |
