PURPOSE:To improve the sealing performance over the entire circumference of chassis opening, by providing a projection and a notch contacting tightly with the outer edge section upon pressure contact at the edge of sealing face in a hollow seal section to be pressure contacted with the outer edge section adjoining to the corner section of chassis opening edge. CONSTITUTION:A hollow seal section 12 of a weather strip 11 is formed integrally with a base section 13 to be fitted in the door sash where the coupling base 14 has the diameter (a) while the leading end section has larger diameter beta. The corner section of the chassis open edge will contact against the predetermined position (L) on the seal face 15 at the tip of a hollow seal section 12 where the sides 15a, 15b are pressure contacting respectively against the outer edge of the chassis open edge and the circumference. A projection 17 contacting tightly with the outer edge upon pressure contact is provided at the edge of one side of sealing face pressure contacting with the outer edge while a notch 18 is provided near the root of said projection 17 and on the innercircumference of hollow seal section 12. |
