PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate air from ink, by flowing ink brought to a foamed state by the mixing of air downwardly along a gas-liquid separating body under its own weight. CONSTITUTION:The ink sucked into a recovery tube 15 is discharged from the discharge end of the recovery tube 15 and adhered to the upper end of a gas- liquid separating body 23. This adhered ink is flowed downwardly along the gas- liquid separating body 23 under its own weight. and mixed in the ink 2 stored in an ink tank 1. When the ink discharged from the discharge end of the recovery tube 15 is held under a foamed state by the mixing of air, this foamed ink is flowed downwardly along the gas-liquid separating body 23. The ink itself attempts to fall under its own weight while air bubbles mixed in the ink attempts to float. Therefore, the foamed ink downwardly flowing along the gas- liquid separating body 23 is extended along said gas-liquid separating body 23 and, at last, air bubbles in the ink are naturally ruptured. By this mechanism, air is separated from the foamed ink. |
