PURPOSE:To eliminate noise and to improve the overall efficiency by disposing a steam generating pipe in a water jacket enclosing a combustion chamber, whereas a thermal liquid medium for the water jacket and steam generating pipe is filled up to a water level at which about the lower half of the steam generating pipe is covered, and the steam generated in the upper half of the steam generating pipe can be supplied to a pressure-reduced steam chamber without introducing the steam into the thermal liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:A steam generating pipe 4 in a combustion chamber 1 is disposed in a horizontal position to connect opposing water jackets on both sides, and a number of fins 8 are attached to its outer surface. When a burner 16 is ignited to heat the steam generating pipe 4 under conditions where thermal liquid medium A is filled to an extent that it fills the lower half of the steam generating pipe 4 and the pressure in a pressure-reduced steam chamber 3 is lowered in advance, the generated steam is immediately led to the water jackets 2 on both sides through a passage 12. As there is no thermal liquid medium in the upper part of the water jackets 2, the steam squirts into the pressure-reduced steam chamber 3 without being introduced into the thermal liquid medium, eliminating the explosive noise of steam bubbles. The steam condenses on the outer surface of heat exchangers 6, 7 in the pressure-reduced steam chamber 3, and after exchanging heat with water flowing in the heat exchangers, the condensate droplets fall in a thermal liquid medium receptacle 11 located directly below, and overflows the thermal medium receptacle 11 to return into the water jackets 2. |
