PURPOSE:To detect exactly an error without adding a special error check code by generating an error detecting signal when the number of picture elements which become a dissidence exceeds an allowable value, in a picture processing device. CONSTITUTION:In a device which repeats twice or more an output operation of a picture data, a picture data outputted from a line memory 16 is compared with a picture data outputted to a signal line 14 by the same timing as its extracting timing, in the course of the output operation of each time of the second time and thereafter. If the output operation of the first time or the second time and thereafter is not normal, the coincidence is not obtained by a comparison of a comparator 17, and its number of times is obtained by a counter 18. When a counting value of the counter 18 exceeds an allowable value, an error signal is generated to a memory controller 13. |
