PURPOSE:To provide a dehumidifier which can automatically select the operation mode of dehumidifying, air-blowing or ventilating by means of a combination of signals from outside air temperature sensing thermistor, room humidity sensor and outside humidity sensor. CONSTITUTION:The circuitry is made up such that a compressor motor 41 and an overloading protection device 42 of a dehumidifier 6 for a semibasement are connected to the power source via a relay 43, a blower motor 44 to the power source in parallel with said compressor motor 41, and a ventilation damper actuating motor 45 to position detection limit switches 46, 47 of a ventilation damper in series as well as to the power source in series via a relay 48. Said relays 43, 48 are opened or closed or switched by means of signals from a room humidity sensor 49, an outside humidity sensor 50 and an outside temperature sensing thermistor 51 to allow an automatic selection of operation mode of dehumidifying, air-blowing or ventilating based on a combination of the room humidity, outside humidity and outside temperature.
