<p>PURPOSE:To extend the fuel injection period, increase the exhaust temperature, and ignite and burn exhaust particles by providing a needle valve lift limiting mechanism on a fuel injection nozzle and providing an accumulator on an injection pipe through a solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:When a predetermined quantity of exhaust particles is detected to have collected by a filter 7, drive signals are outputted from a control circuit 18 to an injection nozzle 4a with a needle valve lift limiting mechanism and a solenoid valve 13, then the needle valve lift of the injection nozzle 4a is limited in the direction that the opening area is decreased and also the solenoid valve 13 is switched from close to open. As a result, part of the pressure oil from an injection pump 2 is accumulated in an accumulator 12. Therefore, the pressure feed from the injection pump is continued until the accumulated fuel in the accumulator 12 is released even after the pressure feed from the injection pump has been completed, resulting in the same effect as that the pressure feed period is extended, thus the exhaust temperature is increased.</p> |
