PURPOSE:To extend a noise discharge time, and to execute a read at a high speed by controlling a photoelectric converting element array by dividing it into two different matrixes, in a controlling system for executing a storage-type matrix control. CONSTITUTION:Photoelectric converting elements 111-1mn are divided into a group (a) and (b) and subjected to matrix control, respectively, one group is set to a noise charge discharge mode from a parasitic capacity, and simultaneously, the other group is set to a read-out mode, and this mode setting is varied whenever T/2 passes. Setting to a signal read-out mode is executed after passing through a noise charge mode, therefore, in the signal read-out mode, a noise current from the parasitic capacity does not flow. A noise charge from the group (a) flows to an earth through a switching element S6a, and a noise charge from the group (b) flows to an earth through a switching element S6b. |
