PURPOSE:To enable automation and mas production to be achieved by a method in which the expanded part and successively the folded part of a soft cylindrical body are formed between the first and the second member, and they are displaced to a desirable position by sliding, thereby covering closely the periphery of a core with the soft cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:A member 8 is not displaced and suction is carried out from an air pipe-joint mouth 10, and then an air mouth 12 sucks a soft cylindrical body 2. Then when air supply is continued into the soft cylindrical body 2 as an arrow 3, while displacing a member 9 to an arrow 16f by a specified distance, an expanded part E is formed. When its dimension reaches a desirable value, the displacement direction of the member 9 is reversed as an arrow 16' and the suction is carried out from the air pipe-joint mouth 11. When a folded part 2' is formed into a desirable dimension and shape, the member 8 and member 9 are simultaneously moved in the direction of an arrow 15f and 16f, while feeding air from each air pipe-joint mouth 10, 11. The arbitrary number of the folded parts may be formed by repeating said process. |
