PURPOSE:To discriminate correctly and exactly whether paste adheres satisfactorily to a carton or not, by inspecting electrostatically the quantity of paste. CONSTITUTION:Paste 3 is made to adhere to a carton in a carrying direction 5 along a part to be pasted 2. Two opposed base boards 11, 11 are provided on an inspecting head 10, and the carton 1 is carried between them. Plates 13 for detecting an electrostatic capacity are formed in parallel on both sides of the base boards 11, 11. A light emitting device and a photosensor 14 are provided on both sides of the base board 11, and existence of the carton 1 between the base boards 11 is detected by this sensor 14. A shielding plate 17 consisting of a metallic plate is provided so as to have an interval 18 and to surround three sides, on the outside of the base board 11. When the paste is gone, its decision is executed by deciding whether an electrostatic capacity signal is smaller than a reference value or not. When the paste is uneven, it is decided by deciding whether the electrostatic capacity signal is larger than a prescribed set level or not. |
