PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a photosensitive body for forming a polychromatic image having two or more colors by laminating a photoconductive layer and an electrically insulating layer so as to provide a laminated structure. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 3 has an electrically insulating layer 41 and a photoconductive layer (photosensitive layer) 2 laminated successively on an electrically conductive substrate 40. The layer 2 has either holes or the mobility of electrons. The layer 2 is made of a single photosensitive layer having sensitivity in at least the whole visible light region, or it has a laminated structure consisting of a carrier generating layer 42 and a photosensitive layer 43. The layer 42 has sensitivity to chromatic light, and the layer 43 transmits chromatic light and has sensitivity to light other than chromatic light. |
