PURPOSE:To simplify the connectin of the split jackets of a marine structure by a method in which a connector is thrust through each strut of the split jackets, the split jackets are lowered under the guidance of the connector, and the connector is given a tension and clamped. CONSTITUTION:A connector 10 to be coupled with a fixed ring 9 is thrust through the inside of each strut 1 of the split jacket 16h at the deepest portion of a marine structure, and the jacket 16h is settled through the connector 10 to the seabed and set on a given installation place. Afterwards, a pile is driven, the jacket 16h is fixed to the ground of the seabed, and a split jacket 16g to be provided on the upside of the jacket 16h is lowered under the guidance of the connector 10 and connected with the split jacket 16h at the deepest position fixed to the seabed by means of coupling rings 8 and 8'. These operations are repeated up to a split jacket 16a to form the uppermost platform, and a tension is given to the connector 10. The connector 10 is then clamped. |
