PURPOSE:To attain the thin profile of a flexible disc drive and to improve the operability by providing a clamp operating member having a means aligning a disc to a disc fitting member with the operation of a push operating member, a means loading/unloading one of a couple of heads, and a means retaining the disc so as to correct the disc. CONSTITUTION:In depressing a push button 2 through external operation, a cam roller 4 freely turnably fitted to the push operating member 3 allows a cam provided to one end of a clamp operating member to operate thereby turning a clamp operating member 11. On the other hand, a guide slope 21 of a collet 19 is engaged with the disc 1 subject to eccentricity, thereby attaining alignment. When the said alignment is finished, a collet operating spring 18 is shrinked to maintain the expanding force of the collet 19, then the clamp operating member 11 is bent so as to generate a clamping pressure, a projecting part of the disc clamp member 16 clamps the disc 1 into a flat plane and then the clamping operation is finished. |
