PURPOSE:To simplify the layered structure of a photosensitive body to facilitate the manufacture, and to improve the potential stability by forming a polychromatic image having two or more colors by means of a photosensitive body which has a laminated structure of a photoconductive layer and an electrically insulating layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 3 has an electrically insulating layer 41 and a photoconductive layer (photosensitive layer) 2 laminated successively on an electrically conductive substrate 40. The layer 2 has power to transfer holes or electrons. The layer 2 may be made of a single photosensitive layer having sensitivity in at least the whole visible light region. The layered structure of the photosensitive body is simplified, the manufacture is facilitated, and the potential stability can be improved. |
