PURPOSE:The titled composition excellent in flame retardancy, heat resistance, mechanical strength, moldability, and chemical resistance, comprising a propylene polymer, a specified modified polyolefin, carbon black and Mg(OH)2. CONSTITUTION:A modified polyolefin is obtained by adding a copolymer of MW of 20,000-1,000,000, comprising ethylene and at most 20wt% 3-12 C alpha-olefin and 0.01-3.0wt% unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride (e.g., maleic anhydride) to a nonpolar organic solvent, and heating the mixture in the presence of a radical initiator. 100pts.wt. mixture of 50-98wt% propylene polymer having a 12 C or lower alpha-olefin content <=25wt% and an MFI of 1.0-100g/10min, and 50-2wt% said modified polyolefin is mixed with 0.2-60pts.wt. carbon black having a specific surface area of 20-1,000m<2>/g, a particle diameter of 10mum- 1mu, and an oil absorption of 0.3-7.0cc/g, and 100-900pts.wt. Mg(OH)2 having an average particle diameter of 0.3-10mu so that the total weight may amount to 930pts.wt. or below.
