PURPOSE:To produce a functional crosslinked polymer having a haloalkyl group on a side chain, by copolymerizing four specified monomers. CONSTITUTION:A three-dimensional crosslinked polymer comprising polymer units of formulas IX-XII is obtained by copolymerizing 50-98mol% monomer of formula I (wherein A is H or a 1-10C alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl, and X1 and X2 are each a halogen) with 2-50mol% monomers of formulas II and/or III(wherein B, D, and E are each H or methyl, Y is a group of formula IV or V, etc., and Z is a group of formula VI or VII, etc.) and 0-30mol% monomer of formula VIII [wherein F and G are each H, or a 1-10C (halo)alkyl, a halogen, cyano, aryl, etc.] at 20-120 deg.C in an inert liquid (e.g., n-pentane) in the presence of a polymerization initiator (e.g., azobisisobutyronitrile). |
