PURPOSE:To raise remarkably reliability and a quality by forming a structure for executing an electric coupling of a cut-off part of a lead electrode by a conductive substance of a conductive adhesive agent, etc. in a sealing member. CONSTITUTION:Oriented films 5,6 are partially applied by a printing method, etc. to opposed glass substrates 1, 2, respectively, and placed on the liquid crystal layer side from a sealing member 8 so that they do not contact with the sealing member. A lead transparent electrode part 3' for obtaining an electric coupling from a circuit part on the upper glass substrate takes a discontinuous structure whose part is cut off, at a part contacting with a display part transparent electrode 3 and the sealing member. In the same way, in the other opposed glass substrate 2, in addition of an opposed transparent display electrode 4, a non- display use transparent electrode 4' are provided on a part contacting with the sealing member. On the other hand, conductive members 9, 9' are provided in the sealing member 8. In this way, an electric coupling from the lead transparent electrode 3' is executed through the conductive member 9, an auxiliary electrode 4', the conductive member 9' and the display transparent electrode 3. |
