PURPOSE:To manufacture a large-sized H-beam accurately in dimension by specifying a balance of rolling reduction after a shape factor attains to a specific value, in rolling the H-beam from a stainless steel by a universal mill. CONSTITUTION:In rolling a rolling material of austenitic stainless steel into an H-beam by a universal mill, a balance of rolling reduction is set to <=0.1 in a pass schedule after a shape factor attains to 2. In this way, the thickness reduction of a web due to the width spreading of a flange is prevented, and a large- sized H-beam of desired dimensions is accurately obtained. |
