PURPOSE:To obtain exactly vibration absorbing effect, and to release worker's uneasy sense uncomfortable sense by providing a vibration absorbing member which is capable of absorbing a vibration generated when fixing a powder image by pressure, on a pressure fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A pressure fixing device 4 consists of upper side and lower side fixing rolls 2, 3, and upper side and lower side fitting frames 5, 6. Both end supporting shafts 7-10 of the rolls 2, 3 are freely rotatable by bearings 11, 12 fitted into the frames 5, 6, respectively. A vibration absorbing member, for instance vibration absorbing rubber fittings 22 for inserting and holding a synthetic rubber member 23 having elasticity are installed between said rolls and a machine body fitting base plate 21, and screwed as one body by nuts 24, 25. When a copy paper passes through between the rolls 2, 3 and is fixed, an up- and-down vibration generated in the rolls 2, 3 is absorbed by the vibration absorbing rubber of the vibration absorbing rubber fittings 22, and a transfer of the vibration to the base plate 21 is cut off as much as possible. |
