In order to provide a bicycle lock which is largely secure against being broken open and can be advantageously manufactured and mounted and is convenient to handle, the said lock is provided with a swivel bar (5) which is mounted in a holding part (4) and can be rotated into a locking bearing (3). The flat end (20) of the swivel bar (5) moves, with a transverse groove (19), into engagement with a spring. The holding part (4) consists of an outer housing (21) with lock cylinder and swivel bar (5) and is welded to a fork leg (2) with a base plate which has a protruding and bent-over lock part (29), so that the upper part of the lock part (29) engages in the swivel path of the swivel bar (5), provided with a groove (18), when the lock is released. In the released position, the groove (18) engages in a recess in the upper part of the lock part (29), in which position the swivel bar (5) is held when travelling. <IMAGE> |
