PURPOSE:To provide a rubber-based adhesive plaster having improved decomposition stability of the drug in the plaster base, by adding melanoidin to a plaster base composed of a rubber-based adhesive substance. CONSTITUTION:A plaster base composed of a rubber-based adhesive substance such as natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber, etc. is compounded with about 0.09-10wt%, preferably about 0.01-5wt%, based on the whole plaster, of melanoidin. The decomposition of the drug component to be compounded to the plaster, especially a compound containing phenolic OH group and an amine compound, etc. which are highly unstable in said plaster, e.g. a salicylic acid derivative useful as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent, vitamin E, capsaicin, and an ethanolamine antihistaminic agent such as diphenhydramine, etc. can be suppressed and the drug activity can be maintained stably for a long period. The amine component of melanoidin is preferably amino acid, and the carbonyl component is preferably reducing sugar, reductone, etc.
