PURPOSE:To ensure safe driving at night by detecting the displacement of both front and rear suspensions of a car to control the inclination of front and rear sides of headlights according to the detected values for keeping positions of the headlights always adapted for a security standard. CONSTITUTION:Suspensions 11 of the front and rear wheels 10 are provided with the position detecting devices 1, which are possible to be fitted only on one side of the front and rear wheels. The information detected by the position detecting device 1 including an information of the positions of the suspensions 11 is inputted in a control device 2, and the short-cycled displacement due to ups and downs of roads is eliminated by a means like a link mechanism including a low- pass filter and the like to drive an inclination adjusting device 6 by the output thereof. In this way, the inclination of the headlights 12 is adjusted so that the angle of the headlights 12 against the ground is maintained to be constant at all times and meet a security standard. This construction permits to provide a safe drive at night and prevent interference with other cars in the opposite lane by the light. |
