PUlse number summation system for two pulse trains

In the summation process non-overlapping pulses are counted. The identical and the partly overlapping pulses are replaced by a pulse which is counted with a double weighting. The summation is carried out by a device with a non-coincidence circuit (1) with two inputs. The circuit output for the non-overlapping pulses is connected to the input of a counter. The outputs of the non-coincident circuit for non-overlapping pulses is coupled with a first input of an 01D!circuit!(3).!To!the!circuit!second!input!is!linked!th!output of thelowest position (4) of the counter (2). The AND-circuit is connected to a first input of a NOR-circuit (5), whose second input is connected to the output of the non-coincidence circuit for the pulses of double weighting. The logic circuit output is linked to the input of the highest part (6) of the counter.
