The framework for, e.g. electric cable, uses vertical and horizontal members formed as channels and unequal angles, each with a combination of round holes and slots. These are arranged in lines, with holes alternating with slots, and with two parallel lines of holes along the web of the channel and one line in each flange. The larger flange of the angle has two lines, and the smaller falnge has one line. Another angle has one line in each flange. Another angle has three lines in the larger flange. The sizes of the holes and slots, the length of the slots and the distance between lines is specified so that a rigid structure is built up, without slipping between the members.
