For the projection of the original 16, the method uses a projector consisting of a light source 5, a condenser 7, a film feed 1, 2, 4, a diaphragm 9, a lens 8 and, for the exposure of the print, a film feed 13, 14, 15 and a shutter 10. It involves, during a first run, partially printing the print 11 using a first sequence and then, during a second run, overprinting the print 11 using a second sequence different from the first. The ratio of the exposure times or the luminances used in the two runs is predetermined. The method enables a print to be produced that is capable of being projected at 24 images per second from an original designed to run at 16 images per second. <IMAGE>
