For transport reasons, parking buildings, garages or the like of the prefabricated type are provided with a roof which can only be put in place on site. The known flat roofs for this purpose considerably restrict the interior space of the building. A transportable prefabricated roof (12) having formed-on bearing elements (13), serving as projection or extension of the outside walls of the building (10), enlarges the interior space, in particular when the prefabricated roof (12) is a pitched roof onto which the gable walls (26) are preferably formed. <IMAGE>
