The invention relates to a plug-in assembly (1) having two components (2, 3) which mechanically and functionally form a unit and can be pushed together into a holder. In order, on the one hand, to achieve a functionally reliable, tolerance-compensating production of the plug connections between the assembly (1) and the holder and, on the other hand, to be able simply to remove one component (2) in order to allow the authorised user to isolate the functional unit, as protection against unauthorised use, the components (2, 3) can be screwed to the front (6=control plane), and mutually adjacent side surfaces can be connected by plugging to one another via a pin/elongated hole connection (11, 13), preferably on the rear side of the components (4=plug plane). The invention is suitable, for example, for telecommunications plug-in assemblies having two components which can be pushed into an assembly holder together as a mechanical and functional unit. <IMAGE>
