A pressure switch which emits control signals as a function of the pressure of a medium, a precise response threshold and low switching-back levels being achieved with good reproducibility. A large force and a correspondingly large stroke on the tension spring (13) are achieved by using a Bourdon-tube helical spring (10). The tension spring (13) is stressed or destressed by means of a control drive (18) according to Fig. 2. The control drive consists of a worm (29), a worm gear with a spindle nut (21) and the spindle (31). This combination results in a large step-down ratio which ensures that the switching point can be set very finely. The contact nipple (15) of the microswitch (16) is operated by the operating piece applied to the Bourdon-tube helical spring. The lowest switching point can be limited by means of the adjusting screw (19). In addition, transportation protection is provided by means of the adjusting screw (19). The pressure switch is used in the field of hydraulics where accurate switching and switching-back levels are required. <IMAGE>
