The present invention describes a sugarcane-harvesting machine, by which it is possible for sugarcane to be capable of being harvested satisfactorily even when it is grown on the mounds of fields laid out in the manner of asparagus beds. For this purpose, in particular, the circular knives and the chopper rollers are fastened pivotably in a separate frame to the inclined-conveyor channel, the stalk-splitting units being arranged vertically displaceably relative to this frame. Adjusting devices known per se are provided between the stalk-splitting units and the frame carrying the chopper rollers and the circular knives, thereby guaranteeing the adaptation of the circular knives to unevenness of the ground possibly present in the direction of travel. |
