A brake cylinder (1), in particular an expanding-wedge brake cylinder of vehicle braking systems is proposed, the piston rod (9) of which has at its free end (14) a calotte part (16) for receiving a pressure pin (28), serving for transferring force to an expanding-wedge mechanism. The calotte part (16) is fastened by a snapping catch connection (17) on the piston rod (9) and its position with respect to the piston rod (9) can be adjusted by means of shims (27).
